President Obama, for whom I voted and whom I like, cannot seem to move us in a forward direction. How does he think the Wall Street advisors, who got us into this mess, can provide viable solutions?
Of the Republican candidates, only Huntsman seems to have any sensible ideas. Cain is too simplistic, and the anti-politician position from which he is running will spell doom if he wins. Romney suffers from the Al Gore/Bob Dole syndrome, too wooden and boring to be elected. The rest of the field is pandering too hard to the Tea Party, and will founder on the shoals upon which our current course is taking us, cutting government budgets and watching everyone fail for lack of support when times are tough.
An untrammeled free market results in an economy that operates by the same bullying tactics that Golding's The Lord of the Flies proved are basic to human nature. Wall Street is being run by Ralph and the piggies.
